The Truck
My New toy is a Volvo FH12 Globetrotter which has been repainted and had a fancy graphics design. In the photos above it is loaded with the Flintmobile, Possibly Perfection and Dragon Power, ready to go to Bristol, 2009.
To replace the Daf, in order to finish the season, I found a Volvo FL10 which I bought just as a temporary lorry. In the picture on the left, im hauling the SWTPA trailer on route back from Croeslan
Our 2008 truck is a 1995 Daf 85 supplied by Geoff Garrett. This unit has been modified to allow more power which makes it great fun to drive. The pictures shows us ready to leave to astwood bank with possibly perfection and dragon power on a borrowed trailer, unfortunatly it was stolen shortly after Welland in July.
Our Old truck was a 2002 Mercedes Actros 2548 which is powered by a 18400cc Twin Turbo V8 unit. Rated at 44 tonnes, it makes transporting the pulling tractors around the country easy!! - we had to sell this truck due to the cost of maintenance
The normal load on our trailer normally is Dragon Power on the neck, with Possibly Perfection close behind, and a guest on the back. In this photo Darren Trower's Major Mover on route to Pickering 2007
We also use the lorry for the transportation of our vintage vehicles, here carrying a Fordson Major E27N, a Commer Superpoise, a Ferguson TED-20 aswell as a Trojan Van. Also in the shot is our old Mercedes 814 which we also used for Dragon Power, here hauling a Fordson Dexta, a Land Rover Series I and a Fordson Major E27N county crawler
