Originally a 1983 ERF Tractor unit, it was Acquired by Midland Sherpa Spares in Gloucester in 1997 and modified by them over the winter to make its debut at the 1998 Welland Steam and Country Fair.
They operated it at various pulls around the country until 2006, when I showed a interest. After the final pull last year, we had a deal resulting in me taking ownership. Over the winter, i changed the livery to suit Bassaleg Hire, and ran the first couple of events of 2007 in them. After Pickering I had an sudden idea to try to update and change the colour.
I managed to source a couple of damaged LDV Convoys, from which one good shell was constructed. This was then fitted onto the original floorpan and then painted into our livery ready for Croeslan and Dorset 2007.
